Located in the Etiler district of Istanbul, within a serene, nature-integrated residential complex, this special housing project offers not just a living space, but also an experience of art and design. Due to the homeowner’s immense passion for collecting art pieces, his selection of artworks shaped the design language from the very beginning. For this reason, every corner of the space has been designed to engage with art.
The sculptural staircase, which serves as the focal point of the project, was envisioned as an architectural installation. This onion-shaped staircase—with its marble risers, parquet treads, and entirely custom-made steps— reflects a refined and strong architectural expression in both form and material.
The furniture pieces are composed of “segments” in various materials and colors, reflecting the layered nature of the architecture. These slices bring together contrasting textures and hues—such as black-painted glass, walnut wood veneer, and white lacquer—in a harmonious way. The wall panels reinterpret modern boiserie, redefining classical references with a contemporary touch.
Carrara marble used on the floors creates a dramatic contrast with the black border strip details throughout the house. In the children's rooms, custom-designed wallpapers and vibrant fabrics add a joyful and personal touch to the design.
More than just a place to live, it stands as a personal gallery— crafted for individuals who live closely intertwined with art.
