Sevan Bıçakçı is an Istanbul-based jewelry designer. His multilayered custom jewelry pieces contain assorted Ottoman and Byzantine influential elements regarding art, architecture and craftsmanship. The brand’s strong bond with the past was a key statement for the concept development.

To embody this narrative, we envisioned an “inner sanctum” — a sanctuary-like space interpreted through a contemporary point of view. Avoiding direct religious references, the design instead focuses on structural and skeletal elements. Inspired by the architectural language of sacred spaces, we introduced a sequence of domes — identical in size but irregularly arranged — to evoke a sense of reverence and timelessness.

On the other hand, with the same concern, the brand’s remarkable pieces and its strong statement about art and craft, as well as the application of multiple syntheses through their products, gave us a path to depict it unexpectedly. In terms of structure, the domes, arranged in two uneven rows, define the ceiling of the main display area and form the heart of the spatial experience.
